Josefina Nekongo

Josefina is a University of Namibia graduate, an admitted Legal Practitioner of the High Court of Namibia with experience in shipping and administrative law, corporate governance, compliance Management and company secretarial. Experienced in advising Board of Directors, organizing AGMs for shareholders, Josefina has a keen interest in ensuring that an institution complies and operates in accordance with statutory provisions. Josefina is currently Company Secretary at the Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust, based in Walvis Bay.

In addition to having worked as Company Secretary and Legal advisor in the marine/fishing sector, Josefina has a keen interest in promoting sustainable management of ecosystems, including land and oceans and serves as a Board member to 3 companies within the fishing space. This interest is what drives her in pursuit to enlighten as well as promote the participation of Namibians in the marine sector and fishing value chain. Having worked predominantly outside the traditional legal fraternity as in house counsel, she is now pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration as she is now venturing in operations and strategic management.
