Mark Fenhalls KC is a leading barrister at 23 Essex Street whose practice spans serious and complex crime, corporate and financial wrongdoing, and associated regulatory and professional discipline issues. He is regularly instructed in matters requiring measured judgment, discretion, and clear strategic direction, and is known for principled advocacy and pragmatic problem-solving. 

Mark served as Chair of the Bar in 2022, representing the profession domestically and internationally, and previously led the South Eastern Circuit between 2018 and 2020, focusing on advocacy training, access to justice, and the resilience of the courts. 

Elected to the Commonwealth Lawyers Association Executive Committee, he supports the CLA’s mission to advance the rule of law and judicial independence, promote ethical practice, and encourage exchange of expertise across jurisdictions, drawing on leadership experience and a broad criminal and regulatory practice to contribute to the Commonwealth legal community.
