CLA News / Call for Articles: Young Commonwealth Lawyers Quarterly Newsletter
The Young Commonwealth Lawyers Association Committee (YCLA) is delighted to announce the launch of its quarterly newsletter — a new platform dedicated to amplifying the voices and insights of young lawyers across the Commonwealth.
We invite submissions of articles for our inaugural issue, showcasing recent legal developments, emerging trends, and thought-provoking commentary on issues that matter to young Commonwealth professionals.
If you are a lawyer under 40 or within seven years of call/admission, this is your opportunity to contribute to a publication designed by and for the next generation of Commonwealth lawyers.
Submission Guidelines
- Articles should address recent legal issues or events in any Commonwealth jurisdiction, with relevance or interest to young legal professionals.
- Submissions must include the author’s name, designation, organisation/law firm, email address, and country within the body of the article (not just in the covering email).
- Articles must be no more than 1,500 words and submitted in Microsoft Word format.
- Send submissions to info@commonwealthlawyers.com
- The Editors reserve the right to edit all accepted articles.
- Articles must be original and unpublished and cannot be republished without prior permission from the Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA).
- Authors are fully responsible for ensuring their work does not infringe copyright laws.
- The Editors encourage diversity in both topics and contributors.
- Due to the high volume of submissions, only successful contributors will be contacted.
Deadline for Submission: 14th January 2026
