CLA News / NextGen Forum: Africa Legal Forum Session 3 Ask.Learn.Lead

Ask. Learn. Lead. Three simple words. A lifetime of lessons. 🌍⚖️

The NextGen Forum at the Africa Legal Forum in Kigali closed with an engaging Ask, Learn, Lead session, chaired by Jordan Kamil, with Pius Ntazinda and Sandrine Niyonkuru in the hot seat, answering questions from the floor.

Their message? Keep knocking on doors. Ask questions. Stay curious. Seek opportunities — and never stop learning.

Professional growth is rarely a straight line. Sometimes, one conversation, one introduction or one brave question can change the direction of your career.

These reflections took me back to my own early days as a young professional. The power of persistence, curiosity and learning from others never goes away.

A huge thank you to Jordan, Pius and Sandrine for sharing their experiences so openly and giving the next generation such practical wisdom.

🚀 A call to action for both generations:
Young lawyers: Reach out to someone whose career inspires you. Ask the question. Make the connection. Take the opportunity.
Experienced practitioners: Open a door. Make an introduction. Share what you have learned.

The future of our profession depends on both sides taking that first step.
Ask boldly. Learn continuously. Lead generously.
