The Council of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association is pleased to announce that Ms Louise Delahunty has accepted their invitation to serve on the 2017-2019 CLA Executive Committee. Louise Delahunty is a partner at Cooley LLP in London. She has more than 30 years of experience advising individuals, corporations and financial institutions on business-related crime issues, including in relation to the UK Bribery Act, SEC and FCA enforcement and compliance, Anti-money laundering compliance, White-collar criminal investigations, Mutual legal assistance, cross border investigations & extradition and EU sanctions. She has represented financial institutions, hedge funds, energy, and healthcare around the world. A former member of HM Treasury (Government) Money Laundering Advisory Committee, Louise has been a member of UK government and EU committees regarding anti-money laundering law and regulation. She was a member of the Attorney General’s Plea Negotiation Panel, and gave evidence in 2009 to the Parliamentary Select Committee on the new Bribery Bill, now the Bribery Act 2010.
