The UK Ministry of Justice has opened nominations for the 2026 Honorary King’s Counsel (KC) awards, recognising qualified lawyers and legal academics who have made an outstanding contribution to the law of England and Wales or to the legal profession through their leadership, scholarship, public service and lasting impact.

The Commonwealth Lawyers Association encourages our network to help identify exceptional candidates from the widest possible range of backgrounds, experiences and career paths. Diverse excellence deserves recognition.

🗓️ Nominations close on 18 September 2026.

The Ministry of Justice is also hosting webinars for potential nominators and supporters, offering guidance on the process and an opportunity to ask questions.
